Robotics-as-a-Service, explained plainly

You're not really trying to own a robot. You're trying to have a clean floor every morning. RaaS sells you that, not the box.

"Robotics-as-a-Service" sounds like jargon, and mostly it is. Strip it back and it's simple: instead of buying a cleaning robot for a big up-front sum, you pay a fixed monthly figure and we keep it running. You buy the outcome — a cleaned floor — not the hardware.

What's in the monthly figure

An AR-Pro on RaaS is around $449 a month. For that you get:

  • The machine itself, on your floor
  • Installation, mapping and staff training
  • Parts and consumables as they wear
  • Maintenance and callouts
  • Remote monitoring and coverage reporting

No capital outlay, no depreciation to manage, no surprise repair bill. One line item, one number to budget.

Why it beats buying — for you

Buying outright is the lowest lifetime cost if you want to own the asset and run your own service. But for most operators, RaaS wins on the things that actually matter day to day:

  • No capex. It's an operating cost, approved like any other service contract.
  • No risk on reliability. If it breaks, that's our problem, and it's already paid for.
  • Always current. At term end you can step onto a newer machine.

Why it works — for us

We're upfront about this: RaaS is good for us too, and that's the point. It keeps us in the account, servicing the machine, instead of selling a box and disappearing. Our margin depends on the robot actually working, month after month.

We only get paid while your floor stays clean. That's the incentive you want from a supplier.

It's also the part a factory 8,000 km away simply can't offer. Anyone can ship hardware. The ongoing service relationship — local parts, local techs, local accountability — is the whole moat, and RaaS is how we put our money where our mouth is.

Buy, lease, or RaaS?

  • Buy if you want the lowest lifetime cost and can run your own service.
  • Lease-to-own if you want to spread the capital but still own it at the end.
  • RaaS if you want a fixed monthly outcome with zero hardware risk.

We'll show you all three side by side against your real site — no pressure toward the one that suits us.
